Abstract This text outlines the current evolution of Sempiternism, a mystical–esoteric philosophy that conceives the universal unconscious —the “sempiternal unconscious”— as the divine principle dwelling within all things. In this vision, free will dissolves in favor of a deeper understanding of the self as an instrument of the unconscious, which acts prior to all conscious thought. The work explores the role of language and image as means of connection with the world of perfect ideas, following the Neoplatonic and iconodule traditions.
